Saturday Sickness

This is my time… my Day, spend it the Saturnine way…gray clouds, stormy skies… tempest that knows no bounds; let your mind go astray… all hail Saturday! From the mountain top, to an abysmal drop, let my Spirit soar… up and below…and embrace my good ole fellow, my sweet damn sorrow.

For she was named Victory...

I am the Daughter of Ares; God of War… my supremacy can extend even afar. Though you may not see, vengeance in me… I’ll make sure dues are paid; amends and reverence will be made. In his Chariot of Fire, tall and proud, I stand by his side. We favor the brave, and send cowards to their graves. For all the world to see and shall dare not defy; a bloodline undisputed for a legacy as ancient as the sky.

The moments I am not in his presence, I push the battle lust aside to feel peace and its essence… put my spear down and the fiery crown; wander the path towards Morpheus’ abode, and dream about things even mighty deities can’t corrode. Seeking solace and serenity from quills and ink at times; inspired by the Muses and Pan, bring forth ordinary phrases ingeniously rhymed.

Like mortals on Earth and Zephyr spanning such wide berth. Aphrodite in-love, cruising in a cloud drawn by doves. Diana, most enchanting la Lune; still hopes the quiescent Endymion will wake soon… Ah, the constellations dance above, whilst Orion just held up his imposing club; dithering to strike a monstrous beast… in woe, yet forgiving; only a mother could say the least.

However pleasant it all felt, my wondrous musings must come to an end. Father beckons; I can hear the thunderous bellows in my head… with wisps of slumber, and the hours placing blissful weight; I hastily bid Somnus a rueful goodbye, & faked a grateful smile. Terrified of The Warrior’s temper, for he don’t have the patience to sit and wait. I left, tried to hide the tears, lest he sees; I can’t be weak, never…or else my birthright, he will deny.

Hence I took that rightful place by his side, the arrogant emblem of fame. This Daughter of Ares who brought forth Chaos & Pain despite her name…not knowing what future lies beyond for thee, an Offspring of Fire… forever Fearless, so he thought she’ll be…

Catatonia...

I hate this sinking feeling...
Leaving my mind damn reeling
Like falling in an endless pit,
And no remedy just won't sit

Thinking of what seemed like abuse,
It all boils down to ego's misuse...
Caught in a web of pointless conceit,
I'm now covered with awful deceit

Down, down the deepest subconscious,
The soul lies helpless and unconscious
Now Telling me it s time to disconnect,
From the world of utter disrespect...

What lies hidden beneath the surface,
Struggles to come out a confined space
Like a rebel with all the rightful cause
it ain't gonna stop til free nor pause

Leaving the host without a single option,
A legion of demons rising in commotion
Soon it all has to end, this insanity...
Or later regret the sting of bitter reality

A Thespian's Oath

A Thespian's Oath

Ah confused now aren’t we?
Tis ain’t about letting go, you see
Can’t free something unbound
I seek what cannot be found

A journey of a thousand miles
Twas founded by a thousand lies
To find a haven for a restless soul
And answers to make me whole

This heart that’s cold as ice…
Though cruel can be damn wise
Care not about what others feel
Can bequeath something good still

It’s unusual I know, but it’s true…
A goal I dare achieve without a Clue
Futile may be or it may not be, we’ll see
Can’t give up just yet…not this early

A Poet's Lament

These are all but words… put it all together and it creates a story. One of tragedy… of lost or found hopes, of grand adventures, the real and make believe, of great love and wondrous discoveries… enormous comfort comes from them. Maybe I am indeed a progeny of Pan, armed with a pen for a Lute, and a parody for a Tune. Born in this world so carefree… destined to wander the earthly abode solitary…
